Introducing our New Executive Director, Carly Colgan!

 

June 20, 2018 – Olympia, Wash. South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce that Carly Colgan has been selected as the organization’s new executive director. She takes over from Bill Lahmann who has been serving as interim executive director since November 2017.

Carly comes to us from Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) in Livingston, Montana, where she has been Executive Director since 2016. She holds a master’s degree in non-profit management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

While at BBBS, Carly lead the organization’s strategic planning, increased overall revenues and worked collaboratively with local school districts, partner agencies, policymakers at the state level, and with working groups focused on trauma informed care and suicide prevention. Prior to her time with BBBS, she served as the Director of Resident Services for Rocky Mountain Communities overseeing 42 different programs in 8 low income housing properties across the state of Colorado.

Carly is a person with personal and professional commitments to social justice issues. In addition to her professional commitment to non-profit social service programs, Carly has served on the board of directors of an experiential learning youth organization that focused on diversity, equity and inclusion, served as a youth mentor for Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, and serves as a Big Sister.
