LTC Class of 2016 is Building BIG with Habitat

There is no one answer to expanding access and making produce affordable, but community gardens can be a vital part of the solution, and it is one that is often overlooked. The 2016 LTC Class is committed to building a community garden for South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity’s development, Deyoe Vista in Lacey, WA. We plan to fundraise for and build 33 raised garden beds that will be given to and used by the 33 homeowners in the Deyoe Vista development. Increasing low income families access here in Thurston County to affordable nutritious food. By creating a community garden infrastructure we can grow a better future for these hardworking families!
